His research interests lies at the intersection of Economic Philosophy, Legal and Political Philosophy, with a specific focus on: tax justice freedom and liberalism reciprocity and gift-giving in taxation Institutional Economics and gift percentage philanthropy institutions value Judgements and normativity in Economics and in Law&Economics Italian tradition in public finance Theories of élites and legitimacy in Italian and European Political Thought. He currently is: Research affiliate both at the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Turin Visiting professor at University Lyon2 (France), Contract professor of: Philosophy, Justice, Economy, and Economics of Education and Human Capital (University of Turin) Economic Analysis of Law (Bocconi University, Milan) State, Institutions, Economy (Lumiere University, Lyon2). PAOLO SILVESTRI has a Degree in Economics and Commerce, a PhD in Philosophy of Law (University of Padova) and is Habilitated Associate Professor both in Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy since 2013.
